Robert Murray Gibson (1869-1949) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

He was nominated by President Warren Harding on July 18, 1922 to fill the seat vacated by Charles Orr. He was confirmed by the Senate on July 24th, and received commission that same day. In 1948 and 1949, he was the chief judge.[1] On January 31, 1949, he assumed senior status. He served until his death on December 19, 1949. Gibson was succeeded in this position by Rabe Marsh.
