Ohio 2014 ballot measures
One statewide ballot measure was certified for the May 6, 2014, primary ballot in the state of Ohio. The measure was approved by voters. No measures were certified for the November 4, 2014, general election ballot.
The certified measure, a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, addressed bonds and was essentially a re-issuance of past bond measures that Ohio voters had approved several times. The 2014 legislative session began on January 7, 2014, and ended on December 31, 2014.
In 2014, ballot measures could appear on either the primary election ballot on May 6, 2014, and the general election ballot on November 4, 2014. No measures were certified for November.
At least seven citizen initiatives were proposed for the November ballot. The signature filing deadline for these initiatives was July 2, 2014. No signatures were submitted to the secretary of state's office. Supporters of these measures would have needed to collect the required number of signatures - 385,207 for amendments and two separate batches of 115,574 each for statutes - in order to place their initiatives on the ballot.

- Between 1996 and 2013, an average of two measures appeared annually on the ballot in Ohio. Therefore, 2014 was a below-average year, based on the number of certified measures.
- From 1996 to 2014, the number of measures on statewide ballots ranged from one to five.
- Between 1996 and 2014, 18 of 36, or 50 percent, of Ohio ballot measures were approved by voters.
- Conversely, 18 of 36, or 50 percent, of measures were defeated.
- Ohio ballots have consistently featured measures during even- and odd-year elections.
