Michael S. Holt is a judge for the Fourth Judicial Circuit in South Carolina. The South Carolina General Assembly elected him to the court on February 3, 2021.[1]
Holt also served as a family court judge for the Fourth Judicial Circuit in South Carolina. He was elected to the court by the South Carolina General Assembly in May 2008 and served until his election to the circuit court in February 2021.[2][3]
Education
Holt received his undergraduate degree in history from the University of South Carolina in 1992 and his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1996.[2]
Career
Before he became a judge, Holt practiced law with the late Senator Ed Saleeby's law firm in Hartsville, South Carolina. He also previously served as the mayor of Hartsville from 2005 to 2009.[2]
