Our nation was founded on the principles of debate, negotiation and compromise for the people to advance our country and state. If a tree doesn’t bend in the wind it will break. We need to get back to our roots and be willing to work together, in good faith, across the aisle.

I do not believe any religion should dictate legislation. I believe it's a choice to have a child or not and it is not the right of the government to make that choice for anyone. We should support women who do choose to have a child with healthcare, and paid family and medical leave.

Education is a huge issue right now. We need to fully fund our schools, especially Special Education. Parents, teachers and other team members within the school work for every child's success. There has been a false narrative created that parents are unwelcome. This is false. Parents are absolutely encouraged to be involved. We need to support our teachers again.
I believe in the right to make a living wage.

I believe our children should be free to attend school without fear.

I believe in a woman’s right to choose whether and when to have a child.

I believe that everyone has a right to affordable, high-quality health care.

I believe in the right to be who you are, and to love who you love.

I believe in bringing civility back to our politics.

In Minnesota there has been no better community healer than Paul Wellstone. He embodied the type of legislator I hope to be.
This is the most important job of any legislator. Without compromise and civil conversations we all suffer. We must go back to what our nation was founded on, debate, negotiation, and compromise. If it wasn't for gridlock, everything would be better, including healthcare, infrastructure, education, the job market, and in turn, our everyday lives. I will dedicate my time in office to getting things done. I will get beyond gridlock by holding the end goals in mind, what will benefit all Minnesotans, and find out what we can agree on that will fulfill these goals in order to move forward.
