Marla Graff Decker is a judge of the Virginia Court of Appeals. She assumed office on November 1, 2013. Her current term ends on February 1, 2030.
Decker was appointed to the court by Republican Governor Bob McDonnell on October 1, 2013, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Larry Elder. She was elected to the court by the Virginia General Assembly when it reconvened in January 2014.[1]
Decker was elected chief judge by her peers in 2018 for a four-year term commencing in 2019.[2] She was re-elected to a second term as chief judge, commencing January 1, 2023.[3]
Education
Decker received her undergraduate degree from Gettysburg College and her J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law.[4]
