Campaign themes
2015
Cole's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[2]
Infrastructure
- Excerpt: "We have bridges, buildings, and roads that are falling in disrepair. If focus and attention are not placed upon these vital structures it will cost tax payers more in the long run to replace rather than provide on-going maintenance."
Transportation
- Excerpt: "I would like hear the voices of the citizens of district 13 to see where they stand on creating a regional train system linking the outlying counties with downtown Nashville."
- Excerpt: "I have heard an overwhelming concern regarding the heavy traffic in our area, primarily traffic on Bell Road. Possible solutions to this problem can be additional traffic lights, traffic speed discernments, and traffic light timing. The people of district 13 have expressed to me that they would like to see traffic studies completed so that all issues and solutions can be "laid out on the table" so that appropriate solutions can be enacted."
Education
- Excerpt: "We are funding a public school system as well as a competing charter school system. Additionally, private schools in Nashville are among the most expensive in the state. While I fully support family choice in choosing the right education for their child, I feel it is our duty to have the best public schools possible."
