Voters in the city of Kansas City, Missouri, approved three ballot measures on November 7, 2017. In addition to two measures authorizing the removal of land from the city's park system, they voted in favor of a proposal to construct a new terminal at the Kansas City International Airport.[1]

Kansas Citians also weighed in on three ballot measures on August 8, 2017, and five on April 4, 2017.[2][3] All but one of the eight measures was approved. In August, voters rejected a proposal to enact a pair of sales taxes to fund expansions of the city's streetcar system but approved measures to increase the city's minimum wage to $15 per hour by 2022 and require voter approval to expand the streetcar system.[2]

Three of the five measures approved in April were part of an $800 million infrastructure bond package. That month, voters also approved proposals to impose a sales tax to fund economic development in Central City and reduce the penalties for possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.[3][4]

The deadlines to place measures on the ballot in Kansas City were August 24 for the November 7 election, May 30 for the August 8 election, and January 19 for the April 4 election.[5][6][7]
