The Montana Legislators Running for Office During Term Amendment, also known as C-8, was on the November 7, 1978 ballot in Montana as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have allowed a legislator to run for and assume another public office while still in his current office.[1][2]
