The Louisiana State Board of Education Amendment, also known as Amendment 3, was on the ballot in Louisiana on November 6, 1979, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. It proposed that the term for members of the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education be set at four years, concurrent with the governor's term.[1][2]
