Kirk Stensrud
Kirk Stensrud is a former Republican member of the Minnesota House of Representatives, representing District 42A from 2011 to 2013. Stensrud was a 2014 Republican candidate for District 48A of the Minnesota House of Representatives.[1]

Stensrud is a small business owner.
Stensrud graduated from Bethel University with a B.A. in business.

2014
Elections for the Minnesota House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election was held on August 12, 2014, and a general election took place on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 3, 2014. Incumbent Yvonne Selcer was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Kirk Stensrud was unopposed in the Republican primary. Selcer defeated Stensrud in the general election.[2][3][4]
2012
Stensrud ran for re-election in the 2012 election for Minnesota House of Representatives District 48A. He was unopposed in the Republican primary on August 14 and was defeated by Yvonne Selcer (D) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[5][6]
2010
Stensrud won election to the District 42A seat in 2010. He had no primary opposition. He defeated Maria Ruud (DFL) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[7]

Taxpayers League of Minnesota
The Taxpayers League of Minnesota, a Minnesota-based taxpayer advocacy organization, releases a legislative scorecard for the Minnesota House of Representatives and Minnesota State Senate once a year. The scorecard gives each legislator a score based on how they voted in the prior legislative term on tax issues and “their efforts to balance the state budget without a tax increase.” The organization also compiles a legislator’s individual "Lifetime Score."[8]

Stensrud received a score of 86% in the 2012 scorecard, ranking 23rd out of all 134 Minnesota House of Representatives members.[9]

Stensrud received a score of 77% in the 2011 scorecard, ranking 25th out of all 134 Minnesota House of Representatives members. [10]
