Teachers first. I will advocate for teacher raises, improvements to the teacher retirement fund as well as additional educational support such as teacher mentoring, and funds allocation for classroom resources.

Extending the KEES money will allow more students to benefit from the grant even if they don’t go to college or technical school after graduation. Amending the current bill, KEES grant is offered to all high school students in the state of Kentucky to extend the usage of the accrued funds from five years to 8 years.

The recruitment of specialist doctors to our area would benefit each of us here in district 9 as well as the state. We can create a program to offer incentives for doctors to relocate to our area. With competitive salaries as well as affordable housing, Hopkinsville, Pembroke, and Oak Grove offer tranquil areas to raise a family.
I am passionate about all things education-teachers, students, child care, and our workforce. I am concerned about those issues facing my constituents such as affordable housing, jobs, and economic development. I support legalizing medical cannabis to aid adults and young people who suffer from debilitating conditions.
These two entities should work together to make the lives of the people of our state better.
No, I do not believe it is entirely beneficial. One should understand the basis of government. The job of legislators is to create bills and laws that will enable each person in our state to have a better quality of life. Entering into politics allows the individual to not have preconceived notions or ideologies. This person can remain focused on why they are there-instituting change to make our Commonwealth better.
Relationships must be supported and allowed to flourish. This is the only way we can come together with one voice is by building relationships.
Yes, it is a vital part of our democracy. All sides should be considered, but the main focus of making policy should benefit the people we work for, our constituents.
