Protecting your Natural and Constitutional Rights and Freedoms.

Our rights are under attack. From free speech to guns rights to land grabs, we need to protect our families, farmers and businesses. Involvement of people in their community is of the utmost importance to changing your day to day life. Working together to restore hope and protect our values vital to the success of Kansas.

Protecting and valuing ALL life. The unborn, children, disabled and elderly- these parts of our society are the most taken advantage, ignored, manipulated, and harmed. They have a lesser to no voice and we have a responsibility to protect people who cannot protect themselves. All life is precious and valuable.

Education. With so much of our budget going towards a system that is failing our kids, it is time for an overhaul. Money is not reaching our teachers, much less the students. We have leaking buildings, non working hvacs and are churning out graduates who do not have reading or math competancy at grade level, which sets them up to fail in the real world. We need to get back to the basics vs teaching to a test, but instead meeting a child where they learn best.

Adding value while not taking away from necessary programs will be key. I will be looking for inefficiencies in the system and working for successful outcomes for students.
My day one executive order will be to go through each Department with a fine tooth comb &root out inefficiencies, mishandling and fraud. With a deep audit, I will look for places we can reallocate funds to create more value for the citizens of this state who entrust their hard-earned money through paying of taxes. They deserve transparency, accountability & good stewardship. With no political baggage, I plan to be transparent and look for ways to fiscally responsible with the money entrusted to me to spend for you, the taxpayer.
Honestly, integrity, and ethical behavior is of the utmost importance. We have an obligation to the people. They deserve to know that the person working for them will truly work for them. Someone who not only cares, but let's people be heard. We may not always agree and the choices that have to be made may not always go their way, I want their voices to be heard and to know that whether we agree on an issue or not, I will listen and take their point of view inot account when making decisions for this state. I will do so with transparency and integrity.
I am one of the hardest working people you will ever meet. I am dedicated, tenacious, unafraid to speak truth, fiscally responsible, energetic and able to keep up with the demands of office. I am passionate about any job laid before me and I listen. I have always taken any job I have been in to the fullest, learning everything I could about my job and also the jobs of those around me that would intersect with my position. Understanding another position and how it interacts with yours ensures less mistakes and a dedicated work environment.
The core responsibilities are adminstrative- overseeing the running of departments, budget balancing & being the face of the state. The Governor should be a calming voice during confusing and tragic. times and a voice of celebration during good times as we accomplish goals together.
The legacy I wpuld like to see is that real change comes in. That I will set the stage for future leaders to have a strong foundation to build on.

I don't need to be liked, loved, receive recognition or accolades for the work I do as long as real and lasting change comes in.

I am not here to create a career, I am here to serve the people for two terms and then go back to my life and continue to work and advocate in my community.
I think the first historical event that really affected my life was the Challenger Explosion. As a 6th grader, we were highly anticipating a teacher going into space. It was something that we followed in school very closely and listened on the radio as it happened. We were then shuffled into a room to watch news broadcasts. I appreciated that very much instead of our teacher attempting to just continue on with our day, she gave us space to process the tragic event and ask questions.
My first job was in retail- Alco to be exact. I was 14 and held it for about a year, I think, before I decided that focusing on my studies was more important at that moment than a job.
Brave New World- in my opinion, it shows a strong view of what happens when government controls the people. It is a cautionary tale for sure of what not to do.
I was bullied for most of my school career, not just by one or two classmates, but my entire class. It made me strong and tough. I had to claw and fight for what I have today. I was not believed in by family or my school. I had to make a way and by God's grace and mercy, He saw me and knew I was created for such a time as this.
Transparency and accountability to the people for how their taxpayer dollar that is entrusted to the state is being utilized.
Currently, the legislature has taken control of creating the budget and the Governor has veto power. I think this is a smart option to allow the legislature to have the most time possible with the budget to make sure funds are being allocated well. Then going to the Governor to approve or ask for revisions. This allows for less mistakes and gives lawmakers more time to get it right.
Yes, line item veto power is important. Instead of getting rid of an entire bill because of a couple bad lines, being able to remove items individually while maintaining the integrity and intent of the rest of the bill makes the most sense to me. The all or nothing approach can cause more harm than good.
Thw Governor and Legislature needs to be able to have a strong working relationship. The ability to work through concerns and reach good compromise is always important. When the two parts do not work well together, less gets done for the citizens. Understanding there are many different viewpoints and working for meld them all together to make the best decisions is a tricky and delicate balance and one that must not be taken lightly. The Governor needs to be able to work with all parties, setting aside ego and personal feelings for the benefit of the people.
This is the best place to live on the planet. It is beautiful, friendly, and a good place to raise a family. The people of this state are hardworking, down to earth, real people and make you feel welcomed. Kansas has so much to offer, it is hard to bring it down to just one thing, but it is a beautiful place to live!
The greatest challenge over the next decade is the budget and spending as well as growing and retaining our small businesses. We need our small towns to thrive, not merely survive.
Only in true and dire emergencies should the Governor use her power. Each decision to use such power should be carefully weighed for positive and negative impact. Our people come first.
I am 100% an advocate for transparency on all levels..

We need to be accountable to the taxpayers for the use of THEIR money. They live here in good faith that as elected officials, their tax dollar will be put to good use and we will be good stewards and make their life better. We have an obligation to work for the people, not against.

Term limits would also help with transparency and accountability as we would not be creating career positions that lead to less transparency and accountability.
There are pros and cons of ballot initiatives. We do elect our officials to make these decisions for us. However, if decisions cannot be made that satisfy the majority, a ballot initiative to understand the will of the people is acceptable.

However, confusing wording, poor education on the issue and the influence of special interests can skew not only public perception of what a bill is for, but cause voters that did not do their research or misunderstood the ramifications of a vote in one direction or another.

Ballot initiatives do typically produce higher voter turnout, which decreases apathy on yhe part of the public.
What an honor it would be to serve the citizens of this state as Governor. It is not merely a job, but someone who will be a voice for the citizens locally and nationally to help guide and shape our corner of the world.

Working for you, I promise to be hardworking, dedicated to the people, tenacious and unafraid to stand up for what is right. I will go toe to toe with entities intent to harm our land and our citizens. Our life and livelihoods of this generation and future generations deserve protecting.

Restoring confidence in how Government should be run.

General election race ratings

See also: Race rating definitions and methods

Ballotpedia provides race ratings from four outlets: The Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, Sabato's Crystal Ball, and DDHQ/The Hill. Each race rating indicates if one party is perceived to have an advantage in the race and, if so, the degree of advantage:

  • Safe and Solid ratings indicate that one party has a clear edge and the race is not competitive.
  • Likely ratings indicate that one party has a clear edge, but an upset is possible.
  • Lean ratings indicate that one party has a small edge, but the race is competitive.[1]
  • Toss-up ratings indicate that neither party has an advantage.

Race ratings are informed by a number of factors, including polling, candidate quality, and election result history in the race's district or state.[2][3][4]
