D. Korey Wahwassuck is a district court judge for the Ninth District in Itasca County, Minnesota. Wahwassuck was appointed by Governor Mark Dayton in April of 2013.[1]
She was re-elected in 2014 for a term that expires in 2020.[2]

Education
Wahwassuck received her bachelor's of journalism from the University of Missouri and then received her J.D. from the University of Missouri in 1991.[3]
Career
Wahwassuck was an associate judge of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe Tribal Court from 2006 to 2013 and was previously a tribal attorney for the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. Prior to her time as a tribal attorney and to her time on the bench, Wahwassuck was a solo practitioner in Missouri and Kansas.[3]
