Jeff Sprung
Jeff Sprung was a Democratic candidate for auditor of Washington in the 2016 elections.[1] He was defeated in the primary election.
Biography
After graduating from law school, Sprung moved to Washington, D.C., where he began working for the United States Justice Department as an assistant U.S. attorney. He then moved to the state of Washington to begin working for a law firm specializing in representing corporate whistleblowers. Sprung eventually became partner at the firm.[2]

Sprung filed to run as a Democratic candidate in the 2016 election for auditor of Washington. Washington uses a top-two primary system, meaning that the two candidates who receive the most votes in a primary election advance to the general election regardless of party affiliation. Sprung's opponents in the primary included fellow Democrat Pat McCarthy and Republican state Sen. Mark Miloscia, as well as independents David Golden and Mark Wilson.[1] He was defeated in the primary election by Miloscia and McCarthy.
