Jeremy Ryan
Jeremy Ryan (Republican Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent Wisconsin's 1st Congressional District. He was disqualified from the Republican primary scheduled on August 11, 2020.
Ryan was previously a 2014 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 1st Congressional District of Wisconsin.[1] Although he ran as a Republican candidate, "Ryan and his fellow protesters routinely follow Republican lawmakers around taunting them," according to JS Online.[2] Ryan was defeated by incumbent Paul Ryan in the Republican primary.[3]
He was also a 2012 Independent candidate for District 76 of the Wisconsin State Assembly.
Biography
Ryan is known around the state capitol as a professional protester and political provocateur. He is the executive director of Defending Wisconsin Political Action Committee, a PAC that was involved with the 2012 recall attempt against Scott Walker, Rebecca Kleefisch and J.B. Van Hollen.

Ryan ran in the 2012 election for Wisconsin State Assembly District 76. He ran unopposed in the Independent primary on August 14, 2012. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[4] Ryan's name did not appear on the official candidate list.[5]
