|The pristine beauty of the PNW is what drew us to Whatcom County in 2008. We wanted a family-friendly place with outdoor recreation, agriculture, and nice people, which is what we found here.
The last twenty-five years for my husband Roger and I have been devoted to raising our children. Now that all three are in college, I am prepared for greater civic involvement.
I spent twenty years in sales, and ten years of coaching speech and debate. Getting people with different opinions to communicate with each other is one of my strengths, and something Olympia desperately needs.
Whatcom County families have found their values under attack by extremist politicians with an extreme agenda. They would rather push Seattle's failing politics than focus on the needs of working families.
I believe that now is the time to refocus, regroup and take back our state government.
We need a Representative who will champion common-sense solutions, not increase taxes to pay for more harmful regulations we don't want or need.
If you see me in your neighborhood feel free to stop me and chat!
I'm looking forward to meeting you and I would appreciate your vote!
- First, we need a legislator who will defend the Constitution. The Constitution is the framework of our government, and adhering to it is necessary to protect liberty and prosperity.
- Second, we need to protect Whatcom County's vital industries. Rather than passing laws that increase costs and undermine incentives for growth, we need a legislator who will allow Whatcom County to be a flourishing place for economic growth.
- Third, we need to protect the pristine beauty of Whatcom County's environment. This includes solving the homeless crisis, ensuring affordable housing, and protecting water and property rights.
As a mother and former businesswoman, I care about promoting an environment that is family-friendly and pro-business.
I ask myself: "Is this a place where I would raise my kids and is this the kind of place where they could raise their own?"
Sadly, our state is headed in the wrong direction. Legislators in Olympia seem to believe that the answer to our problems is to raise taxes, spend more, and take away the rights of our own people. Restrictive government policies are not the answer to our problems - they are the problem.
I love Whatcom County, but I do not love the direction it is headed. We need new leadership. I will represent Whatcom County - not special interests and Seattle politicians. I will work to make sure that Whatcom County is a place for people to come and raise their family, start a business, and enjoy their lives without fear of government intrusion.
If you agree with these ideas, and if you believe in the potential of Whatcom County, then I am your candidate.
