James Welch
James Welch (Democratic Party) was a member of the Massachusetts State Senate, representing Hampden District. He assumed office on January 5, 2011. He left office on January 6, 2021.
Welch (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Massachusetts State Senate to represent Hampden District. He lost in the Democratic primary on September 1, 2020.
Welch served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the Sixth Hampden district from 2004 to 2011.
Biography
Welch earned his B.S. in business management from Westfield State College. His professional experience includes working as a realtor.

On November 4, 2008, Welch won re-election in the Massachusetts House of Representatives election for the Sixth Hampden district.[6] In this election he raised $48,151; of that total $43,376 (90.1%) was from in state contributions, $4,550 (9.4%) was from out of state contributions, and $225 (0.5%) was from unknown sources.[7]
