What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
1. Improve Student Achievement in Michigan 2. Support and Respect all Education Staff in the state 3. High and Equitable Opportunities for all students.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I am passionate about public education and believe it is being attacked by individuals who want to 'close community schools or send in outside Emergency Managers or CEOs to run schools that have publicly elected Boards of Education.

The candidate completed Ballotpedia's biographical information submission form:
“ | What is your political philosophy?
My passion for public education and for seeking this office is grounded in my belief that all children have a right to high quality education taught by professionally trained teachers who are respected and provided the resources to meet the needs of all of their students. With the State Board of Education providing the leadership and general supervision, it is the decisions made by locally elected members of the community that provide opportunities for all students. It would be my honor and privilege to work together with school communities across Michigan to continue to offer high quality and equitable public education to all children.[2] |
