Joint Legislative Audit Committee, Wisconsin State Legislature
The Audit Committee is a standing committee of the Wisconsin State Legislature.
Per the Joint Rules, all joint committees will have one co-chair from each chamber.[1] All committee hearings are open to the public, and advanced notice will be provided if time permits.[2]

“ | The joint legislative audit committee shall have advisory responsibilities for the legislative audit bureau. The committee's responsibility is subject to general supervision of the joint committee on legislative organization. The joint legislative audit committee may: (a) Evaluate the qualifications of the candidates for the position of state auditor and make recommendations to the joint committee on legislative organization. |

The Joint Legislative Audit Committee is composed of the cochairpersons of the Joint Finance Committee, two other majority and two minority party senators and two other majority and two minority party representatives , each appointed by the same method as their respective chambers.[5]
