I'm a Marine Corps veteran, small business owner, husband and a father who is running to represent my local community because for far too long it has been the status quo in the 14th District and its representation. For as long as I can remember I've heard about great changes coming, jobs coming, route 35 being finished, and all the wonderful things Delegates and Senators promised over the years. I have yet to see anything except for the continued exit of West Virginia youth, our life blood year after year. It's time for that to change. It's my belief that our District needs a candidate that understands that it's the community you represent, the tax payers and the small business owners. It's my belief that I will bring my community's voice to Charleston in 2020. For more information please follow us on Facebook at Johnnie Wamsley Candidate, 14th District House of Delegates or www.WAMSLEYFORHOUSE.com.
  • I am not a politician. I'm citizen, that is fed up with politics dictating winners and losers.
  • I will fight for the citizens of West Virginia first and foremost.
  • Our state needs new and fresh ideas and with your support it's my belief I can bring a new perspective to Charleston in 2020.
Comprehensive tax reform.

Education reform.

Deregulation of the small business community.

To represent their constituency to the best of their ability
There are a few that come to mind. I remember the Oklahoma city bombing, The Clinton scandals and impeachment, and the skirmishes with Iraq. These events would of put me at 6-10 years old.
Pizza Delivery at Village Pizza in Point Pleasant WV. 2 years.
It's easy to list the classics like, Gatsby, or Citizen Kane, How to kill a mockingbird, or any number of biographies, but for me it was the boy under the stairs that got me through so much as a child and in my early years.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is my book of choice.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in West Virginia

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.

2022
