John C. Rowley

John C. Rowley is a multi-bench judge for the County, Family, and Surrogate's Courts in Tompkins County, New York. He was elected to a term that began in 2001. He was re-elected in November 2010 and his current term expires in 2020.[1][2] He also serves as an acting justice of the Tompkins County Supreme Court.[3]
Education
Rowley received his B.A. degree from Cornell University in 1982 and his J.D. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law in 1987.[1]
Career
Rowley began his career in 1991 as Counsel to the Tompkins County Dept. of Social Services. He then joined the Ithaca City Court in 1996. He worked there until his election to the Tompkins County Court, where he has worked since 2001.[1]
