Joshua R. Plante was a 2016 Democratic candidate for District 5 of the Maine House of Representatives.
Plante is a former Democratic member of the Maine House of Representatives, representing District 145 from 2012 to 2014.

Elections for the Maine House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 10, 2014, and a general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for party candidates wishing to run in this election was March 17, 2014. The deadline for write-in candidates to run in the primary election was April 28, 2014, and the deadline for non-party candidates to run in the general election was June 2, 2014. The deadline for write-in candidates to run in the general election was September 22, 2014. District 145 incumbent Joshua Plante was unopposed in the Democratic primary.
