Jon Spiers (Republican Party) ran for election for Texas Land Commissioner. He lost in the Republican primary on March 1, 2022.

Biography

Jon Spiers lives in Houston, Texas. Spiers served in the U.S. Army Reserve Medical Corps for 16 years and reached the rank of captain. He earned a B.A. in chemistry from Duke University in 1984, an M.D. from the University of Tennessee in 1988, and a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 2011. Spiers' career experience includes working as a cardiac surgeon, the director of Xceed Biopharma, and an executive of the Spiers Group. He has served on the advisory board of HealthCorps.[1][2]
