The Indiana Updating Constitutional Language, Amendment 1, also known as Amendment 1, was on the ballot in Indiana on November 6, 1984, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed that the state constitution be amended by removing or restating certain antiquated language or provisions to reflect contemporary conditions, practices or requirements.[1]
