Indiana Property Tax Exemption, Question 1 (2004)

The Indiana Property Tax Exemption, Question 1, also known as Question 1, was on the ballot in Indiana on November 2, 2004, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The amendment proposed that the constitution be amended: Article 10, Section 1. The amendment proposed to allow the General Assembly to make certain property exempt from property taxes, including a homeowner's primary residence; personal property used to produce income; and inventory.[1]
