Gideon T. Carter III was a 2014 candidate for the 19th Judicial District in Louisiana. He is also a former 2012 candidate for the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal.[1]

Carter III ran for election to the 19th Judicial District.
Primary: He was defeated in the primary on November 4, 2014, receiving 6.8 percent of the vote. He competed against Trudy White and Alfred C. Williams. [1][2]

2012

Carter ran for election to the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal in 2012. He advanced from the election on November 6, winning 31.09 percent of the vote. He was defeated by J. Michael McDonald in the runoff election on December 8, receiving 38.5 percent of the vote.[3][4][5]

Carter received a B.S. in microbiology from Louisiana State University in 1977 and a J.D. from the Southern University School of Law in 1983.[7]
