Georgia Debt for Library Facilities, Amendment 8 (1984)
The Georgia Debt for Library Facilities Amendment, also known as Amendment 8, was on the ballot in Georgia on November 6, 1984, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The measure authorized general obligation debt to be incurred to provide public library facilities.[1]

The question on the ballot:
Shall the Constitution be amended to authorize general obligation debt to be incurred to provide public library facilities for county and independent school systems or for counties, municipalities, or board of trustees of public libraries or public library systems.[1][2] |
