Fritchle ran unsuccessfully for the District 55 seat in 2012, 2014, and 2016. He also unsuccessfully ran for the District 60 seat in 2010.

The candidate filing deadline was February 25, 2016, for candidates filing with signatures. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 7, 2014. Gregg D.
