Greg West
Greg West is an at-large member of the Cumberland County Schools in North Carolina. He assumed office in 2002. His current term ends in 2026.
West ran for re-election for an at-large seat of the Cumberland County Schools in North Carolina. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Biography
West attended the College of Design at North Carolina State University, where he graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in environmental design. He later received his master's degree in business administration from Campbell University. After working in New York City for 4 years, West returned to Fayetteville and began a career in real estate. He is a licensed real estate broker and licensed general contractor. West now owns Westan Homes, a homebuilder based in Fayetteville.
West is deacon at Snyder Memorial Baptist Church, where he has taught Sunday school and is in the sanctuary choir. He has also served as Vice Chairman of Economic Development for the Fayetteville Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce and was appointed to the Board of Trustees of NCCAT, the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching. He has served as chairman. West is married and has three children.[1]

Three at-large seats on the Cumberland Board of Education were up for general election on November 4, 2014. Greg West was the only incumbent running for re-election. He ran against challengers David Booth, Randy Fredricks, Joseph Gilreath, Nolan Hancock, Carmela McKeller, Judy D. Musgrave, Romain Stanley, Rudy Tatum and Donna Vann.
