The Education Committee is a standing committee of the Colorado House of Representatives.
Per House Rule 25 standing committees for the Colorado House of Representatives are appointed during the first session after a general election.[1] All appointments last until the first regular session after the next general election.[2] With the exception of the House Workplace Harassment Committee, all committees have between nine and 19 members, as decided by the Speaker of the House.[3] The House Workplace Harassment Committee consists of only six members.[4] The Speaker of the House appoints the chairman and vice-chairman of each committee.[5] The party representation is set proportionally to reflect the party representation in the House.[6]
