Eduardo "Eddy" Gonzalez is a former Republican member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 111 from 2006 to 2014. He did not seek re-election in 2014.

Gonzalez served as a Hialeah City councilman from 1999 to 2007.

Biography

Gonzalez's professional experience includes working as a business development leader at CAC Florida Medical Center.[1]

Gonzalez won election in the 2012 election for Florida House of Representatives District 111. Gonzalez defeated Maykel Balboa in the Republican primary on August 14, 2012, and defeated Grettel Limia (I) and Lizette B. Rodriguez (I) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[2]

Gonzalez ran for re-election to the 102nd District seat in 2010. He did not have any opposition in the August 24 primary. Gonzalez defeated Cali Vallejo (write-in) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[3]

On November 4, 2008, Gonzalez won re-election to the Florida House of Representatives from Florida's 102nd District, defeating Alfred Leon (write-in). Gonzalez received 31,891 votes in the election while Leon received 4 votes.[4] Gonzalez raised $228,075 for his campaign.[5]
