Digital Intelligence is a digital forensics organization that specializes in the handling of digital evidence for government and private clients. The company also manufactures and supplies computer forensics systems.[1] The organization provides services that capture and retain digital evidence, and they aim to give testimony in court that supports their findings.[2]
John Doe investigations
Two John Doe investigations, beginning in 2010 and ending in 2015, were launched by Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm (D) into the activities of staff and associates of Gov. Scott Walker (R).[3] Digital Intelligence was involved as a vendor in the two investigations. On October 3, 2013, the Milwaukee County district attorney's office served multiple warrants during coordinated raids on conservative targets of the second investigation.[4] Digital Intelligence, according to M.D. Kittle of the Wisconsin Watchdog, was authorized to "assist in the execution" of the warrants.[5]
Digital Intelligence also provided digital forensic services for the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board (GAB). The GAB paid the forensics firm nearly $99,957.99 for conducting investigations in 2013.[6]
