David H. McCormick is the Division 2 judge of the Fifteenth Circuit of Arkansas. Governor Mike Huckabee appointed him to the position in 2002. He was re-elected in 2008 and again in 2014, for a term lasting from January 1, 2015 until the end of 2020.[1][2][3][4][5]

Education

McCormick received his bachelor's and master's degrees from University of Central Arkansas at Conway. He completed his J.D. at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1979.[6][7]

Career

Before becoming a circuit judge, McCormick was a district judge for Yell County. Previously, he was the London city judge, and a city attorney for Dover, Dardanelle and Ola. From 1986 to 1988, McCormick was a deputy prosecuting attorney for Yell County. He was also a juvenile referee for the county from 1980 to 1984. He was admitted to the Arkansas Bar in 1979.[8][2][7]
