The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 25, 2014. Incumbent Paul Espinosa was unopposed in the Republican primary. Daniel Lutz, Jr. ran as a Mountain party candidate. Espinosa defeated Lutz in the general election.[1]
