What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Healthcare Insurance Education I work everyday in the insurance industry and have seen first hand the reform that is needed with our auto and healthcare policies. We also have a family owned clinic and see first hand the issues with our healthcare system. I plan to use these first hand encounters to introduce measures that will better serve the people of district 15.

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

Honesty, compassion, and dependability.

What legacy would you like to leave?

I would like to leave a legacy that shows that hard work and determination will always persevere. The only person that can keep you from reaching your full potential is yourself.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

My very first job, I was a legal assistant in law firm. I took this position while I was in college. I held this position for one year and three months.

What was the last song that got stuck in your head?

Luke Combs - Houston We Got a Problem

Do you believe that it’s beneficial for state legislators to have previous experience in government or politics?

No! I feel that it is important to have apolitical outsider due to the fact that many politicians become biased towards many special interests groups and often times forget the reality that their contentious face on a day to day basis.

What do you perceive to be your state’s greatest challenges over the next decade?

One of the greatest challenges that our state will face is our crumbling infrastructure and the tax reform needed to become competitive with our neighboring states in relation to industry. We must reform the current tax structure in order to attract certain industries that have the inclination to prosper here in Louisiana.

Do you believe it’s beneficial to build relationships with other legislators? Please explain your answer.

I believe it is important to build relationships among fellow legislators in order to establish the ability to achieve bipartisan support on certain issues that may arise within the legislature.
