Domenick DiCicco
Domenick DiCicco is a former Republican member of the New Jersey General Assembly, representing District 4 from 2010 to 2012. In 2011, he was moved into District 3 by redistricting.
Biography
DiCicco earned his B.A. from Rowan University in Glassboro, his M.B.A. from Pennsylvania State University and his J.D. from Delaware Law School. His professional experience includes working as the Executive Vice President/General Counsel, Alexander Gallo Holdings, LLC, as an attorney in a private practice, as the Chief Legal Officer for Zurich North American Claim Operation and as Trial Counsel with the Law Firm of Post and Schell from 1990 to 1993.[1]
Elections
2011
DiCicco ran for re-election in District 3 in 2011. He was defeated in the November 8 general election. He and Bob Villare ran unopposed in the Republican Primary on June 7. Incumbents John Burzichelli and Celeste Riley ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. DiCicco was moved out of District 4 via the redistricting process.[2]
Redistricting
In 2011, the NJ Spotlight identified District 3 as a potential place for the GOP to pickup a seat in the Assembly. With redistricting moving DiCicco to District 3, he had the advantage of running with incumbent status. Additionally, his running mate Villare came within 1,300 votes of defeating Celeste Riley in 2009.[3]
2009
In the 2009 General Election, DiCicco was bracketed with Eugene Lawrence (R) and faced incumbent Paul Moriarty (D) and candidate William Collins (D). Moriarty and DiCicco defeated Collins and Lawrence in the general election.[4][5]
