Forty-three of the country's 100 largest cities held regularly-scheduled municipal elections (mayor and city council) in 2014. Twenty of those 100 cities held elections just for their city council while one city (Oklahoma City) held a mayoral-only election. San Antonio held a special election for one seat on its city council.[1]
