Colorado Attorney General election, 2010
The Colorado Attorney General election of 2010 was held on November 2, 2010. Incumbent Republican John W. Suthers won re-election with 56.4 percent of the vote over Democrat Stan Garnett, who garnered 43.7 percent.

June 2nd - University of Denver
The first debate between Republican John W. Suthers and Stan Garnett took place on Wednesday, June 2nd at the University of Denver's Sturm College of Law. Moderated by television journalist Aaron Harber, the deliberation was broadcast as a part of a series of programs entitled Colorado Election 2010 that focused on highly competitive state contests. Topics of discussion ranged from Arizona's anti-illegal immigration measure to the federal health insurance mandate.
August 3rd - David Sirota Show
On Tuesday, August 3rd, David Sirota, a nationally syndicated newspaper columnist and bestselling author, moderated a debate between the two major party candidates in the race for state attorney general on his radio program on KKZN-AM760, a radio station based in Denver that bills itself as the state's progressive talk station.
October 14th - University of Denver
The University of Denver again played host to the State Attorney General debate between Republican incumbent John W. Suthers and Democratic challenger Stan Garnett on Thursday, October 14th. The event was sponsored by the Colorado Bar Association, the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association, the Colorado Women's Bar Association, and the Sam Cary Bar Association and was moderated by Martin Katz, Dean of University of Denver's Sturm College of Law.

Drop outs
- About a month after he announced his candidacy for the Democratic nomination, State Democratic Party Vice Chairman Daniel B. Slater dropped out of the race, believing he did not have what takes to beat Suthers.[16][17]
