The August 26, 2014, general election in Pinellas County featured five seats up for election. In the District 2 race, incumbent Terry B. Krassner defeated challenger Chris Tauchnitz. District 3 incumbent Peggy O'Shea also won re-election, defeating challenger Kent "Kip" A. Curtis. Beverley Billiris, John H. Nygren and Ken Peluso were running to replace Robin Wikle, who had resigned from the District 4 seat. None of the three candidates received 50 percent of the vote, so Beverley Billiris and Ken Peluso, the top two vote-getters, advanced to the runoff election on November 4, 2014; Peluso won the two years remaining on Wikle's unexpired term. In the District 6 race, incumbent Linda Lerner defeated challenger Maureen Ahern for re-election.

Fellow board member Rene Flowers was running for another term in District 7 against Irene Olive Cates. Because Cates was a write-in candidate, the District 7 election was decided in the November 4, 2014, election.
