Suit filed against Theodosis for local man's death
On October 3, 2014, a San Saba County woman, Jana Childers, filed a lawsuit against Judge Theodosis, the county, the North San Saba Water Supply Corporation, and former Sheriff Allen Brown. In July 2012, Childer's husband, Jesse Childers, hit a pipe while shredding his pasture on his tractor. The North San Saba Water Supply Corporation then sent a letter to Childers explaining that he owed $3,264.58 for repairs and failure to pay would result in legal action taken against him. Jesse Childers was arrested on October 3, 2012, and placed in jail. The suit alleges that former Sheriff Allen Brown failed to heed Jesse Childer's requests to meet the health needs required by his heart condition. On October 28, 2012, Jesse Childers died from heart failure.[4]
Jane Childers argues that the defendants named in her suit deprived her husband of adequate medical care and violated his due process rights.[4]
