If you want to see Georgia realize a government for the people, by the people, then please help me represent all of the wonderful people in our community, and bring real solutions to real problems.

Imagine a Georgia Assembly that worked to make laws completely focused on improving the lives of all people in Georgia. Imagine legislators developing the best ideas and working together on meaningful, impactful policies that truly touch everyone's life daily.

Service to all of the people of Georgia instead of to a political party.

I have never run for office before. I have spent the last 20+ years of my career as a learning expert and consultant, helping companies around the world improve their technology training strategies and adopt large-scale transformation. I know that a key ingredient in achieving that success was ensuring people understood the “why” and the benefits of new ideas.

People need to be heard and part of the process. I believe embracing the diverse voices in Georgia is the most effective way to truly ensure a better future.

Imagine policies developed collaboratively, taking into account the best experts in each field, actual evidence-based research, and an open dialogue with people from a spectrum of perspectives – not just forcing a one-sided agenda through the system.

I am passionate about a government that actually represents the will of the people and allows for democracy to include the voices of all people.

I have always admired both Gandhi and Martin Luther King for their effective activism to improve people's lives, overcome tyranny, through non-violence and peaceful demonstration. It was clear that they demonstrated a leadership through inspiration and integrity.

Integrity. Fairness. Honesty. Critical thinking. Dedication and service to the people, not to the party.

In addition to the general responsibilities already outlined by the Georgia Assembly for state senators, I believe it is important for a senator to demonstrate leadership by building a coalition of community representatives, listen to real problems, and then collaborate on real solutions that have the best future for all Georgians in mind. This is in keeping with the very spirit of representative government our nation was built on.

I have struggled with ADD my entire life. I am acutely aware of how it impacts relationships both at home and at work. This has given me a deep insight into mental health and how often the stigma associated with mental health issues prevents people from getting proper help, and how our society has a lot of room for improvement in this area.

The greatest challenge to the state of Georgia is the completely unfair practice of gerrymandering that has completely compromised and eroded fair representation. This means that all enacted policies will not have the benefit of actually representing the will of the people; that, in fact, the minority rule will dictate policy to the majority. This is not democracy. This is not how to achieve a better, brighter future for Georgia.

Unequivocally, I believe an redistricting must be achieved by an independent body. Benchmarks should be used to achieve a partisan balance, competitive districts, and minority representation.

I believe that balance, hybrid solutions, and out-of-the box innovation are often where the best solutions lie. That will inevitably involve compromise. However there are some things that cannot and should not be compromised, which involve areas of values and integrity. For example, democracy is based on respecting the rights of everyone to fair representation. That is not something to compromise.
