Bryan T. Kaenrath is a former Democratic member of the Maine House of Representatives, representing District 124 from 2006 to 2014. Kaenrath did not seek re-election in 2014.

In a Portland Press Herald questionnaire, Kaenrath explained what he sought to accomplish upon winning office:

"I strongly believe that Gov. LePage and the Republican controlled legislature are taking our state in the wrong direction. I will stand up for working families, our environment, public education, women's rights and new solutions to transform Maine's economy. Perhaps the most important part of being a legislator is constituent service and outreach, we all have to work together and build new coalitions to make change happen."[2]

Kaenrath won re-election in the 2012 election for Maine House of Representatives District 124. He replaced the previous Democratic candidate, Andrew Capone-Sprague, who withdrew after the primary. Kaenrath defeated Kevin Battle (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[3]

Kaenrath ran in the 2012 election for Maine State Senate District 7. He lost to Rebecca Millett in the Democratic primary on June 12, 2012. Incumbent Cynthia Dill (D) did not run for re-election in 2012.[4]
