Namath ran in the 2012 election for Wisconsin State Assembly District 65. He was defeated by Tod Ohnstad in the Democratic primary on August 14, 2012. No Republicans filed to run for this seat. Incumbent Democrat John Steinbrink ran in District 61. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[1]
