Alabama Swine Promotion Amendment (March 1982)

The Alabama Swine Promotion Amendment, also known as Amendment 8, was on the ballot in Alabama on March 2, 1982, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. This measure proposed to modify Amendment 327 of the constitution with regard to the maximum assessment which could be levied on members of the pork industry to be used for promotion of that industry.[1]
