Alabama Reforestation, Amendment 2 (1932)

The Alabama Reforestation, Amendment 2, also known as Amendment 2, was on the ballot in Alabama on May 3, 1932, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. The amendment proposed to amend the constitution. The amendment proposed that the legislature would provide for the formation of forestry districts for the purpose of reforestation and development and protection of growing timber and for the collection of an acreage tax of not more than five cents per acre. This amendment would be retro-active beginning of the legislative session of 1931.[1]
