Alston Gordon Dayton (1857-1920) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia.[1]

He was nominated by President Theodore Roosevelt on March 7, 1905 to replace John Jay Jackson. He was confirmed by the Senate on March 14, 1905, and received commission that same day. He served until his death on July 30, 1920.[1] Dayton was succeeded in this position by William Eli Baker.
