Bell's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[6]

The minimum wage must be raised, including for tipped employees so they do not have to rely on the generosity of their customers to earn a living; the pay gap between women and men in Michigan must be eliminated; and the rules for overtime need to be updated and expanded.

Developing strategies to increase food security for Michigan families along with access to healthy foods in underserved neighborhoods.

Access to high-quality child care and preschool for working families with facilities staffed by trained and qualified staff who earn a living wage.

Continue to build on the Affordable Care Act by working to slow the growth of premiums charged by health care companies insuring Michiganders.

Work to improve the quality of Michigan’s K12 education system and increasing access to higher education.

Funding for a comprehensive public infrastructure program to rebuild our roads and bridges.[7]
