William C. Turnoff
William C. Turnoff was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He was first appointed to the court on February 24, 1986, and retired on February 23, 2018.[1][2]
Education
Judge Turnoff received his A.B. degree from Franklin and Marshall College in 1970 and his J.D. degree from Cornell Law School in 1973.[3][4]
Career
Judge Turnoff began his career in 1973 as an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia. He worked in this capacity until 1980. During this time, he also worked as a arbitrator and master of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. From 1980 until his 1986 judicial appointment, he was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Miami.[3][4]
