Biography
Winford Adams Jr. earned a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2002. He earned a law degree from the University of Houston in 2012. His career experience includes working in education administration.[1]

Two of seven seats on the Spring Independent School District board of trustees in Texas were scheduled for by-district general election on November 7, 2017. One incumbent filed for re-election.[2] Position 5 incumbent Rhonda Newhouse and Position 4 candidate Winford Adams Jr. were the only ones to file for the seats. On September 7, 2017, the board of trustees voted to cancel the election due to lack of opposition.[3]

|Elected to the Board of Trustees in November 2017 while running unopposed and re-elected in 2020, Mr. Winford Adams Jr. brings a variety of educational experiences to the position and is the proud parent of three Spring ISD students. Mr. Adams received his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California at Berkeley and then served two years as a Teach for America corps member in South Louisiana before embarking on his own professional teaching career at schools in Austin and Houston. He taught math for several years prior to earning his law degree at the University of Houston.
