Walter Lindley
Walter C. Lindley (1880-1958) was a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit.[1]
Seventh Circuit
Lindley was nominated by President Harry Truman on September 15, 1949 to a seat vacated by Sherman Minton. He was confirmed by the Senate on October 12, 1949, and received commission the next day. He served on this court until his death on January 3, 1958.[1]
Eastern District of Illinois
Lindley was previously a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Illinois.
He was nominated by President Warren Harding on September 20, 1922 to a new seat created by 42 Stat. 837. He was confirmed by the Senate on September 22nd, and received commission that same day. He served on this court until October 23, 1949, when he was appointed to a different position.[1]
